MY SERVICES
I am a Bicultural Life Coach who specializes in therapy for anxiety/stress and depression, so through meditation and prayer, (if required) distance healing, (if required) clearing, and cleansing, (if required). Breathing techniques, solution-focused therapy, and spiritual healing.

Anxiety/Stress
The approach I take is a client centered approach whereby you already know what is needed from deep down within you to help you find balance. As a therapist my job is to guide you through this process of keeping you on course to help you find the solutions to achieve emotional balance for your mind and body.
I view anxiety and stress as a natural way of your body telling you to (ata haere) slow down. During this slow down period reflect and explore on the probable causes on how you are dealing with grief, anger, denial, unresolved issues you find yourself in. Let me guide you to autonomy.
"He āwhina, he aroha ngā miro tuitu i ngā haehaetanga a te mate."
"Love and support knit together the laceration of anguish."

Meditation and Prayer
A Maori perspective on meditation is a mindful practice done for healing and well being by connect- ing to Te Ao Wairua (spiritual world) and Te Ao Turoa (natural world). Maori teachings are grounded in the domains of Atua or Gods. Ranginui Sky Father: Whom we look to the heavens in meditation and prayer. Papatuanuku Earth Mother: Is our protector and provider she keeps us grounded. Tane God of Forest: This is where we find peacefulness and he energises our wairua (spirit). Tangaroa is associated with all forms of water. So when we immerse ourselves in water we cleanse our mind spirit and bodies.
He oranga ngākau he hikinga waiora.
In order for your heart to be full, take time to lift your spirit.

Distance Healing
Distance healing and clearing of negative energises is just as impressive as one on one healing, the only difference is that the client is not present in the room with the therapist. Almost any type of condition will respond to creating balance, peace of mind, grounding and self-empowerment. Energy can be sent for any condition, taha hinengaro (mental), wairua (spiritual), tinana (physical body) mauri (emotional). Healing can be instant or could be over a period of time and can occur over days or even weeks it all depends on how the client integrated with the therapist during the session.
Ma te Atua me te waihi ngaro taatou e tiaki e manaaki.
May God of which all things come from bless and keep us.

PIKOPIKO
I use the principles Pono, Identity, Kaitiakitanga and Oranga algorithym of Pikopiko to construct my model as these principals are forever intertwined to provide renewal of life with emerging new growth and healing properties to expose clients to their own hidden potential.

Ka ngaro he tētēkura, ka whakaeke mai he tētēkura. As one fern frond disappears, another one thrusts upward to take it’s place.
My coaching model is based on the Pikopiko or the fern frond and I will endeavour to guide you through using my principles and the algorithym of Piko. The principle of pono, being real, honest, genuine, sincere, truthful, non-fiction and valid. From my Māori worldview it is important in my Life Coaching practice especially when working with others.
Pono: (trust, truthful)
The principle of pono, being real, honest, genuine, sincere, truthful, non-fiction and valid. From my Māori worldview it is important in my Life Coaching practice especially when working with others. I expect for there to be a great outcome there needs to be reciprocity whereby both client and coach can engage truthfully in one on one dialogue.
Identity : Whanau (family), Whakapapa (geneology).
These support systems provide the safe space to engage in korero (talk). The Life Coach will normally have everything they need to use in this model to identify causes and the issues to bring one's self to autonomy. Whakapapa (geneology) is important to us as it connects us with our ancestors, family, land, iwi (tribe) and our marae. It’s how we learn about our family history and trace our genealogy, and it’s knowing who we are and where we’re from. As the core of (Māori knowledge), our geneology provides us with identity and history, and joins us to our ancestors and the land. Let's get to know who we are.
Kaitiakitanga: Protection, stewardship, trusteeship, wairua (spirit).
The related concept is that " Kaitiakitanga is the obligation, arising from the kin relationship, to nurture or care for a person or thing, it has a spiritual aspect. Kaitiakitanga today is being rediscovered and explored. There are some challenges in applying kaitiakitanga today because some practitioners need to understand traditional concepts such as mana (status), tapu (spiritual restriction) and mauri (the life principle), and relate them to the modern setting. Therefore I relate to you my clients as a coach who has respect and will take care of you.
Oranga: (Survivor, food, livelihood, welfare, health and living).
Depression is one of the most daunting concepts in psychology. Something traumatic happens, and the mind pushes it into some remote corner of the unconscious. Later, the memory may emerge into consciousness’ so we need to be aware of these things in life. Oranga can be about survival and wellbeing, however all too often, our fears and self-limiting beliefs also limit our ability to achieve everything that we deserve. Until these beliefs are exposed, and we understand how negatively they can affect our lives, we are unable to reach our full potential. You might have a particular goal in mind, or you may feel so overwhelmed you don’t know where to start. Either way, I will help you make the right decisipn to bring oranga back into your life to restore that loving feeling again.
